Fairview is an exceptionally comfortable, STB 4-star, 2-bedroom property (both bedrooms en-suite), well equipped to help you enjoy your time in Shetland.
The house has central heating, a wood burning stove, free wifi, large garden, extensive sea views with easy access to the nearby beach, and all within 5 minutes drive of Lerwick.
Fairview is a stone-built property which sits in a quiet area of Gulberwick, just a few minutes from the main town of Lerwick, but still with the peaceful feeling of a rural setting. The location allows easy access for exploring all areas of Shetland, from north to south. There is a sandy beach within 5 minutes walk, and excellent views over the bay from all the main rooms.
With two sitting rooms, one with a fireplace and one with television, there is ample space for relaxing in the evenings to enjoy any of the games, jigsaws, DVDs or music CDs which are provided. There is a good selection of books in the TV room, including many with local information and also some lighter fiction. Free wifi is available.
The kitchen is equipped to a very high specification with a Rangemaster cooker, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer and well supplied with crockery, cooking utensils, cafetière and a selection of spices and condiments to assist your preparation of home made meals. The utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer, and also a pulley for hanging wet clothing to dry overnight.
Wherever possible, Shetland products have been used in the house, and information about these products and the islands can be found in the guest information folder in the sitting room.
For all weathers, for all interests, and for all ages, Fairview is a welcoming and warm home base for your visit to Shetland. Car parking is available immediately adjacent to the house. The property is available all year with a minimum stay being 4 nights in the shoulder months, and 5 nights in high season.
