My name is Rod Robb.  I have been selling and installing stoves, fireplaces and chimney systems for over 20 years.  I established Shetland Fireplaces to meet growing demand for installation of high-quality wood, multi-fuel stoves and chimney systems.

I am a registered installer with HETAS who are the official body for testing and approval of stoves and chimney systems, ensuring safe, efficient environmentally responsible use of solid fuels.  This enables me to offer you advice and help you choose the correct type of installation to suit your needs whilst complying with the relevant building regulations and safety standards.

I am an official dealer for leading stove suppliers such as Charnwood, Stovax, Mendip, ACR and Saltfire. I also supply fireplaces, hearths and chimney systems which means I can source all of the products you will require for your unique installation.

I can offer a full installation service of all aspects of your project, including:

• Arranging delivery of all materials;
• Removing old fireplaces;
• Joinery works;
• Laying hearths and tiling;
• Lining chimneys & fitting cowls;
• Roofing works;
• Installing stoves and fireplaces;
• Fitting fire surrounds and wooden beams;
• Safety testing and issuing accredited certification.
• Spare Parts - I can source and replace stove parts including glass, rope, fire bricks, etc, all I need is the make and model or picture of your stove. 
• Chimney Sweeping - I sweep chimneys as it is important to have your chimney regularly swept to prevent the build up of soot and creosote that can obstruct or eventually block it leading to inefficient or potentially unsafe operation of your stove or fireplace. 
• Replace Cowls - I can replace damaged or missing cowls to reduce the amount of water entering the chimney, minimise down-draught and stop birds from getting into the chimney.
• Re-Line Chimneys - I can re-line existing chimneys to make them safer and also increase the efficiency of your stove.
